Answers on how currency markets work, what moves them and how to start trading forex with FighterPulse.
Forex trading is the buying and selling of currencies in pairs, such as EUR/USD, where you take a view on one currency against another. It’s the largest financial market in the world, with the Bank for International Settlements reporting average turnover of $9.6 trillion a day in April 2025.
Interest rates are the biggest driver, because higher rates can attract money into a currency. Inflation data, jobs figures, growth numbers and central-bank guidance all feed into rate expectations, which is why a single release can move a pair sharply when it surprises the market.
